ENTO608 Principles of Biological Control

Course Description
ENTO608 is a graduate level, 3-credit, web based course that surveys the theory and practice of biological control. Students will be introduced to: 1) lingo unique to biological control, 2) ecological principles underlying these practices, 3) case studies of both spectacular successes and dismal failures of biological control programs, 4) the use of biological control in various ecosystems, and 5) current issues and controversies related to biological control.

Course Format
Students will be able to download lectures from WebCT and learn at their own pace. Students will enjoy interacting with their peers and the instructor through emails and chat room discussions. Students will also gain first hand experience implementing a biological control program.
