Description:
The green stink bug, Nezara viridula,
is so common that its striking beauty is often overlooked. This specimen
was photographed as it investigated the branch of a maple tree, perhaps beginning
its search for an overwintering site.
Equipment/technique:
Canon D-60, 100 mm Canon macro on tripod, using a Canon 550 EX Speedlight
with diffuser. Cropped and resized in Photoshop.
