Description:
The American cockroach, Periplaneta americana, is considered the largest roach in the United States. This laboratory specimen was photographed so that it could be featured as the star of a traveling exhibit on school IPM. When blown up 8 feet tall it draws attention.

Equipment and Technique:
Canon D-60, 100 Canon macro, 1 backlight and 2 front studio lights with diffusors for light. 1/60 sec. f 3.5.
