Tips and Functionality
Basic Functionality
- Use the "Taxon list option:" combo box to
choose among available taxon list display formats. "Simple
alphabetical" display formats display taxa of a selected rank in a
simple alphabetical listing. "Sorted by higher taxon" list formats
group and order taxa of a selected rank within the framework of a taxonomic
heirarchy that is alphabetically ordered within each higher rank. The
selections available in the "Taxon list option:" combo box vary
depending upon the rank of the active taxon. The "Taxon list
option:" combo box is not displayed on Taxon Pages of genus-ranked or
species-ranked taxa.
- All lists displayed on
the Taxon List Screen are presented in "pages" with a
maximum lenght of 250 records. Use the taxon list "page" controls to access pages within the total taxon list. The
taxon list "page" controls are the List Page Number String and the buttons "First",
"Previous", "Next" and "Last". For the functionality of these individual controls see their
individual entries under User-selectable Controls above.

the "Enter" key or the "Shift" key while selecting regions with your
pointing devise.
