I.                    Welcome and Call to Order- EGSO President Mark Johnsen

II.                 T-shirt Solicitation- Mark Johnsen

a.       Ideas for the new design was requested to students

b.      The t-shirt should be done before second week of November

III.               Seminar series (explanation)-Mark Johnsen

                                                               i.      Ideal is try to get local speakers

                                                             ii.      EGSO did not have control of the money last year

                                                            iii.      EGSO is going to have more control of the money hereafter

IV.              Allocation of GPE funds- Mark Johnsen

a.       GPE funds are $32, 304. This number is $8,000 more than original expected.

b.      Original suggestions from students and faculty

                                                               i.      Ecological Integration Symposium         $1,000

                                                             ii.      Bioblitz                                     $500

                                                            iii.      Entoblitz                                               $1,000

                                                           iv.      One 48 drawers Steel cabinet               $1,300

                                                             v.      A projector                                          $1,600

                                                           vi.      Seminar Series                          $10,000

                                                          vii.      Graduate Student Forum                       $1,350

                                                        viii.      TA assistantship                                    $4,200

1.      Motion suggested to change amount to $250

2.      Votes for approval of change: 10

1.      Projector would be just for graduate student only

2.      Rules for the use of this equipment would be established

3.      Votes of approval: 15

1.      Money for Fall 2002 and Spring 2003 is approx. $ 10,000

2.      Votes for approval: unanimous

                                                        viii.      TA assistantship- Mark Johnsen,

1.      Suggested by Dr. Heinz

2.      EGSO can not decide who receive the assistantship

3.      Motion accepted with clarification that this will be approved for one time only
