DARRELL BAY
ENTO 208

"Great professor. Dr. Bay is very friendly and has a superior knowledge on the subject. He presented the material very consistently."

"Dr. Bay is a very good instructor. He went over the material well and was very willing to help when there was a problem."

"Dr. Bay appeared well-knowledgeable of the content. He’s great; I admired his knowledge of the material. He’s a great professor."

"Was fun and interesting especially the info! It wasn’t another boring lecture class. Maybe he could bring examples of the insects to the actual lecture class so there is repetition of the material, hands on stuff outside projects, collect bugs, etc."

"Dr. Bay was very kind and helpful in the course. He was very understanding and made me look forward to his class."

"Dr. Bay did a wonderful job! I think that he is a great professor who enjoys his job and working with his students."

"I liked the way Dr. Bay taught. I retained the information better, and I wish all my teachers taught like that. The lecture style with drawings on the board helped me understand the lab too! I would most definitely take this professor again if I could! He made the subject enjoyable."

"I loved coming to class everyday because I knew I was going to learn from a professor that appears to love what he is teaching and who knows what he is talking about. I learned something new each day of class, and I would recommend this class to anyone. I gained a large amount of knowledge and appreciation for insects/arthropods. Thank you for making the class so interesting! You are a very fair professor and I would take another class with you! Have a very Merry Christmas!"

"Dr. Bay is the best professor I have had at A&M by far. No need for improvement."

"Dr. Bay Rocks! If I were to take another entomology class, I would want him as my instructor. I have absolutely no complaints here. =) "

"I really enjoyed this class and I hate insects and creepy crawlers. It was really refreshing to have a professor teach something he had a passion for. It was also a comfort knowing he genuinely cares about his students which is seen in his attitude =) and willingness to help!"

JULIO BERNAL

"Dr. Bernal is a great professor and is very willing to help in and out of class."

CRAIG COATES
ENTO 489

"Dr. Coates is brilliant and is great at teaching the information! Class is very enjoyable."

"The instructor’s teaching was superb. He is thoroughly knowledgeable. His disposition is always pleasant. He provides more than adequate opportunity for students to excel in his class."

ANTHONY COGNATO
ENTO 601

"The grading of the exams were especially helpful in that the instructors comments allowed the student to see not only how well they had answered the question, but also what information was missing from the 'complete' answer. This allows the student to get a complete grasp of the answer."

"It self is a good introduction to taxonomy Graduate courses should provide either tolls to be used or theory, this course provided both. Primarily due to the instructor, this is one of the best courses I have taken in my college carreer. It was challenging and even intimidating at times but Anthony presented information in a manner that made it manageable."

"Very approachable and considerate. Very knowledgeable."

"Great teaching skills. She was able to communicate and present the topics in a clear way."

ROBERT WHARTON
ENTO 621, 301

"Dr. Wharton loves teaching and his field of study, and it shows. The instructor’s knowledge of the course subject is tremendous. Was excellent. Great professor, very enthusiastic and knowledgeable."

"A high level of knowledge is required and appreciated for this course, including an ecological perspective of the various insects covered. It’s evident Dr. Wharton exceeds those requirement. He had a difficult assignment to create the 1 st 301/302 combined courses. I feel he did a fine job and made himself accessible to students throughout the semester. I also appreciated Dr. Wharton’s active participation in all of the lab sessions."
