In 2005, Sarah became an undergraduate student in the Department of Entomology here at Texas A&M.

The nomination letter stated “Sarah has progressed through her academic program more rapidly than any undergraduate student I have been associated with in the past several decades at Texas A&M University, and has done so while exhibiting a higher level of scholarship than most students are able to muster. While she has been heavily recruited by a number of graduate programs in the country, she has selected the very best graduate program by remaining at TAMU for her graduate studies. Sarah has the potential and motivation to become a sound scientist, and recognition of her potential is well-deserved.”
