Robert Puckett Receives Second Place for Oral Presentation at 2008 SWBESA Meeting

Congratulations to Robert Puckett for receiving second place in the oral presentations portion of the 56th Annual Southwestern Branch of the Entomological Society of America meeting.

Puckett currently is a Ph.D. student working under Dr. Marvin Harris.

Puckett's paper is titled "Nocturnal Foraging Behavioral Dynamics of Red Imported Fire Ants (Solenopsis Invicta Buren) in the Presence And Absence of Pseudacteon Phorid Flies." Puckett’s dissertation advisor is Dr. Marvin Harris on the research.

"Robert is continuing to develop into a strong scientist and I am proud that his accomplishments were recognized at the SWBESA meetings," Professor and Puckett's mentor Marvin Harris. "He is an asset to our department and his work furthers the mission of this great Land Grant University."
