Glen Moore
Congratulations to Ellis County Extension IPM Agent Glen Moore on receiving the Distinguished Service Award for the best program from the National Association of County Agricultural Agents during its annual Professional Improvement Conference in July. Moore received the award for his integrated pest management programs for the county . According to the NACAA website, nominees must have served at least 10 years as a member of the Cooperative Extension Service and be a member of NACAA. They also should have worked out and have an effective Extension program that includes carrying out constructive and outstanding work. Candidates must be actively interested in the improvement of the Cooperative Extension profession and should have studied some specific Extension subject by group study, correspondence, university residence study, or should have pursued some other means to improve his or her abilities. Moore was excited about receiving the award. "I think its and outstanding and I am honored to receive this award," he said. Moore was one of six recipients from Texas to win the annual award from the organization. He has been with the TCE Ellis County office for 32 years. |
