Scientific name: Junonia coenia (Hubner)
(Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae)

Facts: The buckeye is a widely distributed butterfly and the larvae feed on plantain. The eye spots on the upper surface of the wings are the conspicuous characteristics of the buckeye.
