Scientific name: Thyridopteryx ephemeraeformis (Haworth)
Facts: Bagworms are brownish, rather fat-bodied worms which live
within tough silken bags. The bags, when full grown, are up to 2 inches
long and hang from leaves and twigs of evergreens which they
attack. Other species in this family feed on oaks, elms and various other trees.
