Scientific name: Oncopeltus fasciatus (Dallas)
Facts: The large milkweed bug is an attractive black and yellow
sucking insect that feeds on milkweeds and related plants. It has been used
extensively in laboratory work in entomology because it can be reared easily
in the lab on milkweed seeds and water.
