Scientific name: Boisea trivittata (Say)
(Hemiptera: Rhopalidae)

Facts: Boxelder bugs feed only on boxelder trees. They seem to do little damage to the trees. They are a nuisance when they get abundant and try to enter homes as shelter for the winter.
