December 17, 2008
A handful of graduating Entomology students got to see history in the making this December as President George W. Bush spoke to students before December 12 commencement ceremonies began.
Students and their families then got treated to a special pre-commencement reception on the fourth floor atrium of the Heep Center before lining up at Reed Arena for the evening ceremony.
Stephanie Vidaurri's aunt Rosalinda Vidaurri, and mother Mary Vidaurri were excited about her graduating.
"We are very proud of her and wish her the best of luck," Stephanie's aunt Rosalinda Vidaurri said.
"We are very proud of her," said Lizette Peters' mother, Alice Peters. "She has learned a lot and has a bright future ahead of her. We are excited about today."
