Scientific name: Acrobasis nuxvorella (Neunzig)
Facts: The pecan nut casebearer is an important pest of pecans.
The adult moth has a siphoning mouth tube; larvae have chewing mouthparts.
Several generations occur each year. The first generation is usually the
most damaging in pecans since it damages terminal growth as nuts are
first formed.
