Scientific name: Sitophilus oryzae (Linnaeus)
(Coleoptera: Curculionidae)

Facts: The rice or corn weevil is a dark brown to black snout beetle with lighter reddish yellow spots on the front and back of each wing cover. Rice weevils are about 1/6 inch long and are pests of stored grain.
