Scientific name: Leptoglossus phyllopus (Linnaeus)
Facts: The dark brown color with a conspicuous whitish line across
is characteristic of this species. The hind legs are flattened and expanded,
almost leaf-like,
which is typical for members of the family. They feed on tomatoes,
southern peas, soybeans, and many other plants. Adults are about 3/4 inch
long.
