Differential Grasshopper

Scientific name: Melanoplus differentialis (Thomas)
(Orthoptera: Acrididae)

Facts: The differential grasshopper is a short-horned grasshopper with a spine on the prosternum. These general feeders eat grasses, crop plants, and fruits throughout the United States.
