Butterflies, swallowtail
Question:
I have caterpillars on my fennel, dill and carrots. I think now they are probably Anise swallowtails? What do you think?
Answer:
The host plants are right for the black swallowtail. That is much more common and wide spread than the anise swallowtail. The USGS web site has great resources for butterflies. You might want to check there.
