Topic:
Fleas
Question:
I'm having a flea problem. I've bombed my home three times now and still, they are here. What do you suggest I do?
Answer:
Please visit our Publications section (see link below)and type in the keyword flea.

In general, a "bomb" or fogger pesticide application has little impact on fleas. It puts a low dose all over everything.

The most important item to remember is that the pet, outdoors and indoor areas should be all be treated at the same time, especially if the infestation is severe. Also, remember that if populations reach high levels it may require two applications to reduce the population to a non-pest status.

There are great products with insect growth regulators as the active ingredient so treat the pet with one of those like: Program and indoors with products containing methoprene or pyriproxyfen.

You can also get improve control by vacuuming the carpet and areas where the pet is on a daily basis and especially before you treat. Seal up the vacuum bag and destroy it each time.

If you are using traditional insecticides then treat the areas where the pets spend the most time. Treat the corners of the room and under furniture too.
