Frequently Asked Questions

Topic:
Chinch bugs
Question:
How can I determine if I have chinch bugs? The grass near my driveway is dying back.
Answer:
You can sample for them as follows: Cut both ends from a coffee can. Push the coffee can at least one inch into the soil. Flood the can with water. Chinch bugs will float up after a few minutes if they are present. Sample at the edge of the damaged areas.
