Topic:
Caterpillars, black, fuzzy
Question:
I found a fuzzy caterpillar yesterday and I cannot figure out what it is. It was fat, with black hairs all over it except on the underside. On the sides, either on its skin or on the hair themselves, it had small light spots (in a line down the side).
Answer:
It is hard to tell from the description. Most of the fuzzy caterpillars are in the family Arctiidae which are usually called tiger moths. Check out this link:
